Atelier Picassiette avec Suzanne : pot de fleur ou miroir 10h30 à 12h30 Apportez votre propre vaisselle, pour personnaliser votre œuvre. Bienvenue aux enfants à partir de 7ans. $50.  Réservez votre place suzanne@mosaikashop.com(Picassiette workshop : flower pot. Bring your own broken crockery to personal your work. Atelier d’un jour dédié à la coupe des smalti en petit morceau- ‘micro’ et l’installation de l’œuvre sans coulis. (One day workshop totally dedicated to cutting smalti in small pieces- ‘micro’ and doing an installation without grout.)

 L’atelier sera sur la technique coupe des smaltis, (ces merveilles dans la tradition byzantines venant du Mexique) et sur la bonne utilisation de la pince à molette, cet outil pas toujours facile à maitriser! Le projet est de 5X7pouce, l’image sera imposée mais vous auriez un choix. Le sujet sera d’après une œuvre de Hundertwasser, la coqueluche de Mosaikashop! (This workshop is dedicated to the technique of cutting smalti, these marvelous tiles from Mexico in the byzantine tradition. You will learn the ideal method of using the wheeled nippers, this tool not always easy to master! The project will measure 5X7inches, the design will be imposed but you will have a choice. The subject will be according to works of Hundertwasser, so much adored at Mosaikashop!)

Due to popular demand extra dates have been added for the Laurel Skye Workshop. Monday, September 19 and 20, the hours will be Monday 9am to 4pm and Tuesday 9am to 2pm. Please see post of May 23 for information about the workshop. For those registered for the weekend and want to switch over to Monday and Tuesday please advise Suzanne and for those who want to register for the new dates please do the same. suzanne@mosaikashop.com

 

Les coups de cœur Mosaikashop!

J’ai adoré cette interprétation moderne d’une mosaïque romaine. Bravo Peter! Il m’a promis de refaire le même motif quand il prendra le cours de mosaïque romaine. J’ai bien hâte de voir le résultat! (Peter charmed me with his whimsical rendition of his modern version of a roman mosaic. He promises to do the same design when he takes the roman mosaic class. I can’t wait to see the results!)

Johanne a fait un travail splendide sur cette femme bien exotique. C’est son deuxième œuvre suite au cours d’initiation! (Johanne did a magnificiant job on this very exotique portrait of a woman, it is her second project following the beginners course!)

 

Une autre Johanne a fait un travail merveilleux et unique sur cette lampe! Grand bravo! (An other Johanne did a beautiful job on this lamp. Very unique and original,bravo!)

Grand merci à tous les participants de l’exposition collectifs Picassiette à L’Espace S! Cela a attiré beaucoup de monde. Mosaikashop est fière de ses étudiants! (A big thank-you to all who participated in the collective exhibition on the theme of Picassiette. The L ‘Espace S ‘show’ attracted a lot of people. Mosaikashop is proud of its students.)

 

L’été est un moment parfait pour la mosaïque Picassiette. Mosaikashop a accueilli et converti beaucoup de monde cet été! (Summertime is ideal for doing Picassiette mosaics. Mosaikashop welcomed and ‘converted’ a lot of people to this medium this summer!)

Rappelez vous que vous pouvez aussi venir l’hors des cours déjà entamé, svp me contacter avant pour être sure que ce n’est pas un premier cours et surtout pour vous assurer que j’ai toujours votre œuvre. suzanne@mosaikashop.com. En ce moment  Jeannine se porte volontaire pour terminer les mosaïques bien avancées et jugées abandonnées. (You haven’t finished your beginner mosaic? I would like to remind you that you can also come during class hours of already started classes. Please contact me before to be sure it is not a first class and especially to be sure that I still have your mosaic. suzanne@mosaikashop.com Presently Jeannine is volunteering to finish well started mosaics which are considered abandoned.)
